The DETOUR Project is looking for small and medium-sized enterprises interested in offering services to walking and cycling tourists in Bulgaria, Italy, Türkiye and Greece to join a free Training and Mentoring Programme focused on sustainable tourism, digital transformation, and climate resilience.
Led by the Municipality of Fidenza and co-financed by the EU’s Single Market Programme, DETOUR aims to equip tourism SMEs with the skills and tools needed to thrive in a fast-changing sector. Selected businesses will benefit from expert-led sessions, one-on-one mentoring, and online training.
This opportunity is open to SMEs located in the Thrace Tourist Region in Bulgaria, including those situated along the sections of the Sultan’s Trail that pass through the region, as well as near the Via Francigena in Italy, the Lycian Way, and the mountain routes of Olympos, Kissavos, and Mavrovouni.
Activities will run from 1 January to 30 April 2026, and the participation is free of charge for selected SMEs from Bulgaria, Italy, Türkiye and Greece, which will gain access to:
✅ Tailored training on green and digital transition
✅ One-on-one mentoring with tourism experts
✅ Support to apply for DETOUR Innovation Grants (up to €25,000) – Applications open soon.
✅ A cross-border network of like-minded professionals
