The first project training took place in Plovdiv from June 15th to 19th

We have prepared a special training program, the purpose of which was to familiarize the participants in a non-traditional way with our cultural heritage, customs and traditions, integrating everyone in the study of the daily life of the people who lived on our territory during different historical periods. On the first day, all project participants visited the city of Stara Zagora. The Department of Tourism, at the Municipality of Stara Zagora, according to a task prepared by us, specially prepared a route that included modern locations beloved by the residents and guests of the city, as well as historical sights. In the historical museum, against the background of an authentic Roman street, all participants had the opportunity and pleasure to dress up in Roman clothes, learning about life during antiquity. The second day included a discovery game and the study of various facts about iconic landmarks in Old Plovdiv such as the Ancient Theater, the Church of St. St. Constantine and Elena“, Hisar Gate and Ethnographic Museum. All participants participated with pleasure and enthusiasm discovering the locations. As at the end of the „research“ of each site, we summarized the research and told interesting details about it. During the following day, we introduced the participants to the city center over the millennia, focusing on the daily life of the people who inhabited the city – the ancient forum, the Odeon, the Episcopal Basilica, the Roman Stadium, etc. We also introduced them to other interesting places and facts such as Kapana, with the title Plovdiv 2019, the Rowing Canal, etc. For the visits to Plovdiv, we received the assistance of „Ancient Plovdiv“ Municipal Institute. At the end of each day we discussed the commonalities and differences in the past and present of all participating countries. On the part of TTR, Plovdiv University and VUARR were also very actively involved. In the next stages of the project, they will continue their active participation, as well as other members of the UTTR who have applied for participation. Promotional bags were made for the meeting and a video was shot as planned. It is to be installed in 3 versions of 2-3 minutes each. More advertising materials, TTR banner, brochures, etc. are to be produced
